Dr. Markus Helm is a sworn expert in the treatment and utilisation of organic waste, in particular by composting and fermentation, appointed by the Government of Upper Bavaria. He is also a part-time lecturer in this subject at the Weihenstephan University of Applied Sciences.
He has considerable industrial experience in the management of companies building turnkey biogas plants and has been an expert/advisory member of professional bodies such as the VDI (Association of German Engineers) and Fachverband Biogas e.V. (German Biogas Association) for many years.
